This lecture explores two architectural projects by OMA/Rem Koolhaas: the design of a crematorium and the Théâtre de la Danse. The crematorium features a compact design with a unique scenography to create a series of spatial experiences. On the other hand, the Théâtre de la Danse showcases Koolhaas' innovative approach to simplicity and functionality, challenging traditional architectural norms. The lecture delves into the concepts of spatial hierarchy, intimacy, and the interplay between indoor and outdoor spaces in these projects.
