How People Learn I: Introduction

This lecture introduces the course structure, covering topics such as social and behavioral sciences of learning, educational design, and project development. Students will explore psychological and social processes linked to learning, analyze their own learning, and work on open-ended projects integrating sustainability or ethics. The assessment includes a take-home exam and a group proposal. The workload is distributed throughout the year, with pre-class video lectures, in-class activities, and post-class project scoping. Additional activities involve playing learning games, observing learners, literature search, and scoping reports.
