This lecture covers the analysis of cortical neuronal activity, focusing on detecting action potentials (APs) in Vm recordings and computing firing rates for different cell types. It also includes measuring AP properties, such as threshold and duration, and using spectral analysis to study Vm dynamics. Students will learn to correlate cortical activity with motor behavior and evaluate the impact of whisker movements on neuronal activity. The lecture concludes with comparing sensory evoked responses across cell classes and summarizing the main characteristics of each cell type.
