This lecture introduces the field of Virtual Reality (VR) focusing on immersive real-time interaction concepts and technologies. The course aims to provide a background in human perception-action to ensure users can react realistically in virtual environments. Topics covered include VR concepts, immersion, presence, 3D interaction, haptic feedback, and full-body interaction. Hands-on sessions involve Unity 3D setup, Oculus Quest introduction, basic interaction with controllers, structuring interaction behavior, finger tracking, and locomotion design. The course includes a group project to build a 3D VR game using Unity 3D and Oculus Quest. Assessment includes an article study, a group project, and an online oral control on VR concepts.
