This lecture covers the analysis of cation exchange capacity (CEC) in a soil sample, involving the extraction of exchangeable cations and acidity titration using cobalt gloria solution. The process includes soil weighing, agitation, filtration, and titration of basic and acidic cations, such as sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, aluminum, manganese, and hydrogen ions, with automatic titration using sodium hydroxide until reaching pH 8.4.
