This lecture covers the biophysical modeling of neurons, focusing on the Hodgkin & Huxley model and cable theory to find parameters. It explores the understanding of cellular processes such as somatic firing, dendritic integration, and signal propagation, as well as the different ways to model a neuron, including abstract, simplified, cellular, and subcellular models.
