Abstract

The goal of this project is to measure the mechanical properties of a porous polymeric scaffold. For this purpose, the deformation of the scaffold will be visualized using micro-computed tomography (µCT). We have a compression machine which operates inside the µCT that should be modified to suit this application. Using this machine inside the µCT enables us to visualize the deformation of the scaffold and hence, measure the strain.
