Point Sur LighthousePoint Sur Lighthouse is a lightstation at Point Sur south of Monterey, California at the peak of the rock at the head of the point. It was established in 1889 and is part of Point Sur State Historic Park. The light house is tall and above sea level. As of 2016, and for the foreseeable future the light is still in operation as an essential aid to navigation. Point Sur is the only complete turn-of-the-20th-century lightstation open to the public in California.
Georges FoucartGeorges Foucart (11 December 1865, Paris – 1943) was a French historian and Egyptologist. He was the son of archaeologist Paul Foucart (1836–1926), a professor of ancient Greek studies at the Collège de France. From 1898 to 1906, he was a professor of ancient history at the University of Bordeaux, afterwards serving as a professor of history of religions at Aix-Marseille University. From 1915 to 1928, he was director of the Institut Français d'Archéologie Orientale in Cairo.
Sur, OmanSur (Ṣūr) is the capital city of Ash Sharqiyah South Governorate, and the former capital of Ash Sharqiyah Region in northeastern Oman, on the coast of the Gulf of Oman. It is located about southeast of the Omani capital Muscat. Historically, the city is known for being an important destination point for sailors. Today, the sea still plays an important part of life in Sur. By the 6th century, Sur was an established centre for trade with East Africa. Ibn Battuta commented on his visit to this "roadstead of a large village on the seashore.
Kilien StengelKilien Stengel (born 1972 in Nevers) is a French gastronomic author, restaurateur, and cookbook writer. He has worked at Gidleigh Park, Nikko Hotels, Georges V Hotel in Paris, and in a number of Relais & Châteaux restaurants (including Marc Meneau and Jacques Lameloise). He was a teacher of gastronomy at the Paris Academy and of Orléans-Tours. Stengel works at the European Institute for the History and Culture of Food at François Rabelais University. He is captain of a culinary book fair, and directed a collection book edited by L'harmattan.
Henri TempleHenri Temple (born 1 November 1945 in Montpellier, France), is a French professor, lawyer, philosopher and politician. He received a Doctor of Juridical Science from University of Montpellier I with a thesis, "Les Sociétés de fait" (Partnerships by conduct or by estoppel). In 1975, with Jean Calais-Auloy, he cofounded the first Centre of research in consumer protection. From 2000 to 2012, he became the direction of this Centre. He was also an expert close to the United Nations and European Union.

Jean CarmetJean Carmet (25 April 1920 – 20 April 1994) was a French actor. Jean Carmet began working on stage and then in film in the early 1940s becoming a very popular comedic actor in his native country. He is best known internationally for his role as a French colonist in the 1976 film, La Victoire en Chantant (Black and White in Color). Because of his good-natured manner, he was as popular with members of the film crew as he was with the audiences.
