Occupation of ZorThe Occupation of Zor was the 1918–1920 occupation of the Zor Sanjak in Upper Mesopotamia after World War I by Iraqi nationalists representing the Arab government in Damascus led by Emir Faisal. Contrary to the intentions of the Iraqi nationalists, the occupation ensured that the region became part of the modern state of Syria. The territory was located between the Occupied Enemy Territory Administration (OETA) in Syria on the West and British-occupied Iraq (1918–1920) on the East.
French occupation zone in GermanyThe French occupation zone in Germany (Französische Besatzungszone, Zone d'occupation française en Allemagne) was one of the Allied-occupied areas in Germany after World War II. In the aftermath of the Second World War, Winston Churchill, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Joseph Stalin met at the Yalta Conference to discuss Germany's post-war occupation, which included among other things coming to a final determination of the inter-zonal borders. Originally, there were to be only three zones, with the French excluded.

Alain BoudetAlain Boudet (1 August 1950 – 24 August 2021) was a French poet and professor. Boudet was a professor of humanities with the Ministry of National Education. He was also a coordinator of reading, writing, and poetry at the Académie de Nantes. Several of his books were chosen for 100 livres pour les écoles, a selection of 100 books by the Ministry of National Education. In 1981, he founded Donner à voir, which became a publishing house for contemporary poetry.
US IvryUnion Sportive d'Ivry are a French multi-sports club based in Ivry-sur-Seine, Val-de-Marne. The club is primarily known for its football team and handball team. US Ivry play their home matches at the Stade Clerville, which seats 2,000 spectators. The club was founded in 1919 by Socialist Youth activists in the name of Union Sportive du Travail d'Ivry (USTI). The club's first chairman was Gaston Richard. Early in the club's foundation, they primarily focused on the football, athletics, and basketball sections of the club.

She was the founder and editor-in-chief of the academic journal, Travail, Genre et Sociétés and directed the international and multidisciplinary research network "Marché du travail et Genre" (MAGE–CNRS) ('Labour Market and Gender'). Margaret Rose Maruani was born 25 February 1954, in Tunis, Tunisia.
