Ulmus × hollandica 'Smithii'The hybrid elm cultivar Ulmus × hollandica 'Smithii', commonly known as the Downton Elm, was one of a number of cultivars arising from the crossing of the Wych Elm U. glabra with the Field Elm U. minor. The tree was originally planted at Downton Castle near Ludlow, as one of a batch, not all of them pendulous in habit, raised at Smith's Nursery, Worcester, England, from seeds obtained from a tree in Nottingham in 1810. 'Smithii' or 'Downton Elm' is absent from Smith's 1887–88 catalogue, which contains 23 elms, unless it is one listed as 'Weeping English Elm'.
Bernd UpmeyerBernd Upmeyer (born July 2, 1973, Göttingen) is a German architect and urbanist living and working in Rotterdam, where he opened his own architecture firm Bureau of Architecture, Research, and Design (BOARD) in 2005. He holds a Ph.D. in Urban Studies from the University of Kassel. Upmeyer is the author of the book Binational Urbanism – On the Road to Paradise. In the book Upmeyer creates a theory of binational urbanism, a term coined by him.
Nathalie FerlutNathalie Ferlut (born November 26, 1968, Sète) is a French bande dessinée cartoonist who works as a comic book illustrator, scriptwriter, and colorist. After a baccalaureate in plastic arts in Nîmes, Ferlut obtained a DEUG in art history and then in film school at the Paul Valéry University Montpellier 3. After attending the comic book workshop at the Beaux-Arts d'Angoulême, she obtained a diploma in model making in 1993. She worked in cartooning, before launching, in 2000, her first comic book, Ether Glister, a science fiction series drawn by Yoann, then Thierry Leprévost.
Henri René GuieuHenri René Guieu (19 March 1926 – 2 January 2000) was a French science fiction writer and ufologist, who published primarily with the pseudonym Jimmy Guieu. He occasionally used other pseudonyms as well, including Claude Vauzière for a young adult series, Jimmy G. Quint (with Georges Pierquin) for a number of espionage novels, Claude Rostaing for two detective novels and Dominique Verseau for six erotic novels. Guieu was one of the authors published by Fleuve Noir company's Anticipation science fiction imprint.
Ministry of Education (Nguyễn dynasty)During the Nguyễn dynasty period (1802–1945) of Vietnamese history its Ministry of Education was reformed a number of times, in its first iteration it was called the Học Bộ (Hán tự: 學部), which was established during the reign of the Duy Tân Emperor (1907–1916) and took over a number of functions of the Lễ Bộ, one of the Lục Bộ. The Governor-General of French Indochina wished to introduce more education reforms, the Nguyễn court in Huế sent Cao Xuân Dục and Huỳnh Côn, the Thượng thư of the Hộ Bộ, to French Cochinchina to discuss these reforms with the French authorities.

His mother, Anne Camille Blanc de Corbières Meyer, was a Swiss structural engineer.
