House of LoredanThe House of Loredan (loreˈdan, loɾeˈdaŋ) is a Venetian noble family of supposed ancient Roman origin, which has played a significant role in shaping the history of the entire Mediterranean. A political dynasty, the family has throughout the centuries produced a number of famous personalities: doges, statesmen, magnates, financiers, diplomats, procurators, military commanders, naval captains, church dignitaries, writers, and lawyers.
Jacques BergierJacques Bergier (bɛʁʒje; maybe born Yakov Mikhailovich Berger (Я́ков Миха́йлович Бéргер); Odessa, Paris, 23 November 1978) was a chemical engineer, member of the French-resistance, spy, journalist and writer. He co-wrote the best-seller The Morning of the Magicians with Louis Pauwels as a work of "fantastic realism" (a term coined by the authors). Yakov Mikhailovich Berger, who later adopted the name Jacques Bergier, was born in Odessa in 1912.
Daniel DuguéDaniel Dugué was a French mathematician specializing in probability and statistics. He was born on 22 September 1912 in Saint-Louis in Senegal and died on 10 September 1987 in Paris, France. After finishing high-school studies in Bordeaux, Daniel Dugué was admitted to ENS and with a degree agrégation de mathématiques when he was 21 years old, in 1933. He defended the doctoral dissertation in mathematics when he was 25 years old under the supervision of Georges Darmois and defended it before Émile Borel and Arnaud Denjoy.
GuimarãesGuimarães (ɡimɐˈɾɐ̃jʃ) is a city and municipality located in northern Portugal, in the district of Braga. Its historic town centre has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001, in recognition for being an "exceptionally well-preserved and authentic example of the evolution of a medieval settlement into a modern town" in Europe. Monique Pinçon-CharlotMonique Pinçon-Charlot (born 15 May 1946, in Saint-Étienne, France) is a French sociologist, research director at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) until 2007, year of her retiring, attached to the Research Institute on Contemporary Societies/ l'Institut de recherche sur les sociétés contemporaines (IRESCO). She works generally in collaboration with her husband Michel Pinçon, also a sociologist; they coauthored the majority of their works.

It is made at the western end of the Loire Valley, near the city of Nantes in the Pays de la Loire region. It is made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape, often referred to simply as melon. While most appellation d'origine contrôlée wines are named after their growing region, or in Alsace after their variety, the name Muscadet refers to an alleged characteristic of the wine produced by the melon grape variety: vin qui a un goût musqué (wine with a musk-like taste).

It is the capital of the province of Padua. It is also the economic and communications hub of the area. Padua's population is 214,000 (). The city is sometimes included, with Venice (Italian Venezia) and Treviso, in the Padua-Treviso-Venice Metropolitan Area (PATREVE) which has a population of around 2,600,000. Padua stands on the Bacchiglione River, west of Venice and southeast of Vicenza.
La Ferté-sous-JouarreLa Ferté-sous-Jouarre (la fɛʁte su ʒwaʁ) is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne département in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. It is located at a crossing point over the river Marne between Meaux and Château-Thierry. This area of France has frequently been a site of warfare. In 1819, British naval officer, Norwich Duff (1792–1862), Edinburgh born, recorded a note on La Ferté. The Bourbon Restoration had apparently dampened the Napoleonic road building boom, as evidenced by unused milestones.
