Abstract

We establish a facile and robust approach to integrate high-performance monocrystalline semiconducting nanowire-based optoelectronic devices at optical fiber tips. The multi-functional fibers exhibit excellent optical and optoelectronic properties, leading to unique applications in fluorescence imaging.

In SNOM, the excitation laser light is focused through an aperture with a diameter smaller than the excitation wavelength, resulting in an evanescent field (or near-field) on the far side of the aperture.
