CIS - Gestion

The Center for Intelligent Systems (CIS) at EPFL is a research center focused on AI, Machine Learning, and Robotics. It aims to advance research in intelligent systems that combine elements of artificial intelligence, such as autonomous systems, wearable technologies, robotic co-workers, and smart devices. CIS fosters integrative research streams in AI, ML, and robotics, with six research pillars including AI for Medicine, Intelligent Assistive Robotics, and Digital Twin. The center supports associated professors in teaching future engineers and scientists, acts as a point of contact for industry inquiries, and promotes technology transfer through thematic conferences. CIS collaborates with Swiss industry, society, and politics on AI, ML, and robotics topics, and integrates EPFL into European and international research networks.
