The Centre de MicroNanoTechnologie (CMi) at EPFL is a state-of-the-art facility offering clean rooms and advanced processing equipment for training and scientific experimentation in microtechnologies. With a mission to provide basic and advanced training, access to clean room processing equipment, and to gather and share cutting-edge know-how in the field of microtechnology, CMi serves the needs of education, scientific research, and microfabrication processes. The center is managed by a team of specialists who ensure the availability and operation of processing equipment, provide training to users, and offer technical support. Researchers from various disciplines at EPFL utilize the clean room for fundamental research on micro- and nano-structures, manufacturing processes in silicon and other materials, and the development of new microsystems.
