Concrete Behaviour and Structural Design Laboratory

The Laboratory of Behavior and Design of Beton Structures, known as CONSTRUCT, focuses on improving the scientific understanding of reinforced concrete to use it in a more responsible and sustainable way. Their research aims to develop structural engineering solutions for aging infrastructure and increasing demand for new construction. Specific areas of research include improved mechanical modeling of reinforced concrete structures, the use of low-carbon alternatives to traditional concrete, and design for adaptive reuse and longevity.
