The Centre de Phenogenomique (CPG) at EPFL is a specialized center focused on animal experimentation and alternatives. Committed to research excellence, the center provides tailored services and advice to the scientific community. With a strong team spirit, they ensure the welfare of laboratory animals in compliance with laws and ethics. Services offered include a Fish facility, Rodent facilities, Stem Cell and Organoid Laboratory, and initiatives related to the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement) principles. The center actively participates in initiatives such as the OptiMice program for organ and live animal sharing within EPFL, as well as a rehoming program in partnership with the Swiss Animal Protection (SAP) for rats. Additionally, the Stem Cell and Organoid Laboratory supports researchers in developing organoid and iPSC models, providing access to fully equipped cell culture laboratories and a range of services.
