Computer Vision Laboratory

The Computer Vision Laboratory (CVLab) at EPFL focuses on emulating the human brain's ability to interpret images and extract information about the surrounding world. Research areas include image descriptors, keypoint detection, deformable surface modeling, tracking and modeling people, brain functionality, machine learning for biomedical imaging, unmanned aerial vehicles, 3D object tracking, domain adaptation, garment simulation, crowd counting, and synthetic data generation. The lab is actively involved in developing deep-learning solutions for various applications, such as 3D reconstruction, human motion tracking, brain structure analysis, and object detection. Additionally, CVLab collaborates with industry partners to transfer technology and provides teaching for undergraduate and graduate students.
