LaboratoryThe Flexible Microsystems Laboratory (LMTS) at EPFL focuses on developing reliable soft stretchable compliant actuators, sensors, and transducers. Their research spans various miniaturized actuator technologies, with a primary emphasis on elastomer-based solutions and multifunctional stretchable materials. The lab's core research areas include miniaturized polymer actuators, soft transducers for applications like soft robotics and microfluidics, and wearable haptic displays for VR and AR applications. Additionally, they work on MEMS and printed microsystems, emphasizing environmentally-friendly and sustainable processes and materials, flexible electronics, and digital manufacturing.
