Laboratory of High Energy Physics
LaboratoryThe Laboratory of High Energy Physics (LPHE) at EPFL is specialized in particle physics, conducting research in collaboration with international partners. LPHE is actively involved in the LHCb experiment at CERN, focusing on CP violation studies, new particle searches, and rare decays. The unit's research activities require advancements in particle detection, signal processing electronics, and computing. LPHE offers teaching at all university levels, including specialized courses in elementary particle physics, nuclear physics, and particle detection techniques. The unit provides opportunities for Master's projects and offers positions as teaching assistants and doctoral assistants. LPHE's work is predominantly carried out within international collaborations at CERN.
