SCI SB PJ Group

The Group of SCI SB PJ, also known as the Laboratory of Astrophysics (LASTRO) at EPFL, is dedicated to advanced research and high-quality education in the field of astrophysics. With expertise in Dark Energy & Dark Matter, Cosmological Parameters, and Galaxy Formation & Evolution, LASTRO conducts observations of extragalactic objects, models the cosmos, and tests various astrophysical theories. The research team plays a leading role in international projects focused on extragalactic astrophysics and observational cosmology, contributing to the development of supercomputing infrastructure for the Square Kilometre Array Observatory. Members of LASTRO, including Prof. F. Courbin, Prof. P. Jablonka, Prof. J.P. Kneib, and Dr. Y. Revaz, collaborate with a group of PhD students and postdocs to advance research in astrophysics.
