SCI STI FMO1 Group

The SCI STI FMO1, also known as the MOBOTS group, is a part of the robotics community at EPFL, focusing on system design for miniature autonomous mobile robots. Their research spans disciplines from Artificial Intelligence to mechatronics, with a strong emphasis on digital electronics and system integration. They are renowned for their work in animal-robot interactions, particularly in developing robotic devices that interact with honeybee colonies and fish groups to observe and modulate their behavior. Additionally, the group is actively involved in educational robotics, developing innovative technologies for learning activities and collaborating with the EPFL Center for Learning Sciences LEARN to promote computational thinking and digital literacy in schools.
