The Department of Engineering of the Sciences of the Living at EPFL offers multi-disciplinary education in life sciences engineering, biotechnology, bioengineering, computational and quantitative biology, molecular life sciences, and neurosciences. Professors from diverse backgrounds collaborate to address fundamental questions in biological sciences and biomedical challenges. The department provides Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral programs, fostering innovation and research in areas such as synthetic biology, diagnostics, energy, environment, nutrition, and therapeutics. The Summer Research Program allows students to immerse themselves in cutting-edge research, gain hands-on lab experience, and interact with top researchers, preparing them for future independent research and careers in life sciences.
