The Lipid Cell Biology Laboratory, led by Prof. Giovanni D'Angelo, focuses on understanding the role of membrane lipids in cell identity and development. By combining advanced lipidomics and imaging techniques, the lab investigates the compositional variability of cell membranes and its impact on cell function. Research projects include in-situ single cell lipidomics, regulation of sphingolipid metabolism in neurogenesis, and the dynamic role of lipid processing in membrane assembly.
