Kriss (arme)Le kriss, kris, ou keris (en javanais et en malais), est une arme blanche caractéristique du monde malais (Indonésie, Malaisie, Singapour, Brunei, Philippines et sud de la Thaïlande). Il s'agit d'une dague allongée ou d'une épée à lame droite ou sinueuse, de texture lisse ou rugueuse, aiguisée sur les deux tranchants. Cette lame en acier présente souvent des motifs décoratifs forgés (pamor).

The area of Banten province corresponds more or less with the area of the former Banten Sultanate, a Bantenese nation state that preceded Indonesia. In his book "The Sultanate of Banten", Guillot Claude writes on page 35: “These estates, owned by the Bantenese of Chinese descent, were concentrated around the village of Kelapadua.
