Ramanathapuram
Ramanathapuram (), also known as Ramnad, is a town and a municipality in Ramanathapuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the administrative headquarters of Ramanathapuram district and the second largest town (by population) in Ramanathapuram district. Ramnad estate The region is well known since Puranic ages. The estate of Ramnad included the Hindu holy island city of Rameswaram, from where, legend has it that the Hindu god Rama launched his invasion of Ravana's Lanka.
Sivaganga
Sivaganga (siʋaɡəŋɡaɪ) is a city and headquarters of the Sivaganga district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The city is located at a distance of 48 km (30 mi) from Madurai and 449 km (279 mi) from the state capital Chennai. It is known for the 16th-century Sivagangai Fort, located in City Centre. Inside the fort, the Rajarajeshwari Amman Temple features many ornate sculptures. Nearby, the Government Museum has prehistoric relics and natural history displays. Sivaganga is administered by a municipality established in 1965.

Pudukkottai is the administrative headquarters of Pudukkottai District in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is a town located on the banks of the Vellar River. It has been ruled, at different times, by the mutharaiyar dynasty , Cholas, Early Pandyas, Thondaimans, and the British. It is situated about southwest of the state capital Chennai and about southeast of Tiruchirappalli. Tamil Nadu's first woman Asian Games competitor, Santhi Soundarajan, is from Pudukkottai.

Sundarar (Tamil: சுந்தரர்), also referred to as Chuntarar, Chuntaramurtti, Nampi Aruran or Tampiran Tolan, was an eighth-century poet-saint of Tamil Shaiva Siddhanta tradition of Hinduism. He is among the Tevaram trio, and one of the most prominent Nayanars, the Shaiva bhakti (devotional) poets of Tamil Nadu. His hymns form the seventh volume of the Tirumurai, the twelve-volume compendium of Shaiva Siddhanta. His songs are considered the most musical in Tirumurai in Tamil language.
Mannargudi
Mannargudi (மன்னார்குடி en tamoul, मन्नर्गुडी en sanskrit), Mannai (மன்னை) pour les puritains tamouls, est une ville du Tamil Nadu localisée dans le delta de la Kaveri (Chola Nadu), plus précisément dans le district de Tiruvarur. Mannargudi est proche de la ville de Thiruvarur et est célèbre pour le temple de Sri Rajagopalaswamy (Krishna) et pour le temple jaïn de Mallinatha Swamy. La commune compte parmi sa population une importante communauté de brahmanes et de jaïns, deux populations très peu nombreuses dans le reste du Tamil Nadu.
Nagapattinam
Nagapattinam ou Nagappattinam (anciennement Negapatam ou Shiva Rajadhani) est une ville sur la côte du Tamil Nadu, dans le sud de l'Inde. C'est le centre administratif du district de Nagapattinam. Nagapattinam est un ancien centre du bouddhisme. Le Chudamani Vihara, un monastère bouddhiste, y fut construit au sous les Cholas, à l'initiative du roi Maravijayottunggavarman de Shrîvijaya (Java) et l'aide de Rajaraja I. Le bouddhisme y prospéra jusqu'au et les bâtiments du vihara survécurent jusqu'au .
Dynastie Chola
Les Chola sont une dynastie tamoule du sud de l'Inde, mentionnée dans le Mahābhārata, et qui a donné son nom à la côte de Coromandel (d'après Chola mandalam, « le pays des Chola ») au Tamil Nadu. Attestée dès la fin du troisième siècle avant notre ère, elle règne sur un territoire de taille variable jusqu'à la fin du . On sait peu de chose des premiers Chola, dont la tradition et la littérature nous ont transmis quelques noms et dates approximatives.
Pattukkottai
Pattukkottai is a major town in Thanjavur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu and also important town in Delta districts and Commercial town of Thanjavur, Thiruvarur and Pudukkottai district Coastal areas. The town came to prominence throughout Southern India after the construction of the fort by Vanaji Pandithar, a feudatory of the Thanjavur Maratha ruler Shahuji I in 1686–87. The recorded history of Pattukkottai is known from the 17th century and has been ruled, at different times, by the Thanjavur Marathas and the British.

Velankanni (வேளாங்கண்ணி en tamoul) ou Vailankanni et Velanganni, est une commune et un centre de pèlerinage chrétien localisée dans le district de Nagapattinam au Tamil Nadu (Inde). La cité est célèbre pour les apparitions mariales de Notre Dame de la Bonne Santé et pour son sanctuaire qui attire de nombreux dévots et mystiques de toutes confessions. En raison de son caractère sacré aux yeux du catholicisme, peu présent dans cette partie du monde, Velankanni est surnommée la Lourdes de l'Orient.
Sirkazhi
Sirkazhi (ˈsiːɾkaːɻiː), also spelled as Sirkali and Siyali, is a major municipal town in Mayiladuthurai district in Tamil Nadu, India. It is located from the coast of the Bay of Bengal, and from the state capital Chennai. Sirkazhi was a part of Thanjavur district until 1991 and has later been part of Nagapattinam district. The town covers an area of and in 2011 had a population of 34,927. It is administered by a second grade municipality. Sirkazhi is part of the Cauvery delta region and agriculture is the major occupation.
