Bohemian Reformation
The Bohemian Reformation (also known as the Czech Reformation or Hussite Reformation), preceding the Reformation of the 16th century, was a Christian movement in the late medieval and early modern Kingdom and Crown of Bohemia (mostly what is now present-day Czech Republic, Silesia, and Lusatia) striving for a reform of the Catholic Church. Lasting for more than 200 years, it had a significant impact on the historical development of Central Europe and is considered one of the most important religious, social, intellectual and political movements of the early modern period.
Czech nobility
Czech nobility consists of the noble families from historical Czech lands, especially in their narrow sense, i.e. nobility of Bohemia proper, Moravia and Austrian Silesia – whether these families originated from those countries or moved into them through the centuries. These are connected with the history of Great Moravia, Duchy of Bohemia, later Kingdom of Bohemia, Margraviate of Moravia, the Duchies of Silesia and the Crown of Bohemia, the constitutional predecessor state of the modern-day Czech Republic.
Kłodzko
Kłodzko (prononcé (en Glatz, en Kladsko) est une ville de Pologne qui compte (2003). Elle est le chef-lieu d’un district (powiat) qui fait partie de la voïvodie de Basse-Silésie. Kłodzko se situe au Sud-Ouest de la Pologne, dans une vallée des Sudètes, sur la Nysa Kłodzka, un affluent de l’Oder. C’est un important nœud routier régional. Kłodzko est une des plus vieilles villes de Basse-Silésie. Le chanoine tchèque Kosmas la mentionne déjà dans sa chronique en 981. Au début du , la Pologne et la Bohême se disputent la ville.
Kłodzko Land
Kłodzko Land (Ziemia kłodzka; Kladsko; Glatzer Land) is a historical region in southwestern Poland. The subject of Czech–Polish rivalry in the High Middle Ages, it became a Bohemian domain since the 12th century, although with periods of rule of the Polish Piast dynasty in the Late Middle Ages. It was raised to the County of Kladsko in 1459 and was conquered by Prussia in the First Silesian War of 1740–42 and incorporated into the Province of Silesia by 1818. After World War II it passed to the Republic of Poland according to the 1945 Potsdam Agreement.
