Nativité dans l'art
À travers les siècles, la Nativité dans l'art fait partie des thèmes chrétiens les plus représentés. La sobriété et la symbolique du récit des évangiles sur ce thème ont laissé place à beaucoup d'interprétation pour les artistes. Le thème de la Nativité apparaît très fréquemment à l'époque médiévale, mais aussi à la Renaissance, en raison de ses liens avec la liturgie chrétienne. Par ailleurs, un tel choix iconographique permet de célébrer la Vierge au même titre que son fils.

Christian media, sometimes referred to as inspirational, faith and family, or simply Christian, is a cross-media genre that features a Christian message or moral. Several creative studios and mass media formats are considered to be aspects of Christian media, including media organizations, a characteristic film industry, musical genres, radio formats, TV formats, and subgenres. Christian art has long been a tradition of the faith, dating back to early Christian art and architecture and it was a major part of the medieval and renaissance eras.
Role of Christianity in civilization
Christianity has been intricately intertwined with the history and formation of Western society. Throughout its long history, the Church has been a major source of social services like schooling and medical care; an inspiration for art, culture and philosophy; and an influential player in politics and religion. In various ways it has sought to affect Western attitudes towards vice and virtue in diverse fields.
Christian poetry
Christian poetry is any poetry that contains Christian teachings, themes, or references. The influence of Christianity on poetry has been great in any area that Christianity has taken hold. Christian poems often directly reference the Bible, while others provide allegory. Poetic forms have been used by Christians since the recorded history of the faith begins. The earliest Christian poetry, in fact, appears in the New Testament.
Couronne de fleurs
La couronne de fleurs est un attribut vestimentaire, d'apparat ou de protocole (par exemple offrande rituelle lors de l'accueil d'un étranger à Tahiti). C'était aussi l'une des formes de « chapels » (chapeaux) très en vogue au Moyen Âge, faisant probablement suite à une tradition très ancienne de tressage de couronnes de végétaux (fleuris ou non, telle la couronne de laurier). La fleur comme ornement et parure est une tradition qui est probablement très ancienne et qu’on connaît chez les peuples dits primitifs sur tous les continents.
Christian state
A Christian state is a country that recognizes a form of Christianity as its official religion and often has a state church (also called an established church), which is a Christian denomination that supports the government and is supported by the government. Historically, the nations of Aksum, Armenia, Makuria, and the Holy Roman Empire have declared themselves as Christian states, as well as the Roman Empire and its continuation the Byzantine Empire, the Russian Empire, the Spanish Empire, the British Empire, the Portuguese Empire, and the Frankish Empire.
Christmas traditions
Christmas traditions include a variety of customs, religious practices, rituals, and folklore associated with the celebration of Christmas. Many of these traditions vary by country or region, while others are practiced in a virtually identical manner across the world. Traditions associated with the Christmas holiday are diverse in their origins and nature, with some having an exclusively Christian character with origins from within the religion, while others have been described as more cultural or secular in nature and have originated from outside the realm of Christian influence.
Religion and sexuality
The views of the various different religions and religious believers regarding human sexuality range widely among and within them, from giving sex and sexuality a rather negative connotation to believing that sex is the highest expression of the divine. Some religions distinguish between human sexual activities that are practised for biological reproduction (sometimes allowed only when in formal marital status and at a certain age) and those practised only for sexual pleasure in evaluating relative morality.
Christian cross variants
The Christian cross, with or without a figure of Christ included, is the main religious symbol of Christianity. A cross with a figure of Christ affixed to it is termed a crucifix and the figure is often referred to as the corpus (Latin for "body"). The term Greek cross designates a cross with arms of equal length, as in a plus sign, while the Latin cross designates a cross with an elongated descending arm. Numerous other variants have been developed during the medieval period.
