BarreauLe barreau est l'ordre professionnel des avocats. C'est un organisme professionnel, administratif et juridictionnel de défense et de régulation de la profession des avocats. Chaque avocat, pour exercer sa profession, doit appartenir à un barreau. Il peut se situer au niveau provincial, comme au Québec ou au niveau local. L'Ordre des avocats au Québec se nomme le Barreau du Québec, duquel tous les avocats sont membres, en plus d'un barreau de section. En Suisse, le barreau est organisé au niveau cantonal et l'on parle plus couramment du registre cantonal.

Casebook methodThe casebook method, similar to but not exactly the same as the case method, is the primary method of teaching law in law schools in the United States. It was pioneered at Harvard Law School by Christopher Columbus Langdell. It is based on the principle that rather than studying highly abstract summaries of legal rules (the technique used in most countries), the best way to learn American law is to read the actual judicial opinions which become the law under the rule of stare decisis (due to its Anglo-American common law origin).
National Law UniversitiesNational Law Universities (NLU) are public law schools in India, founded pursuant to the second-generation reforms for legal education sought to be implemented by the Bar Council of India. The first NLU was the National Law School of India University aka NLS/NLU Bangalore which admitted its first batch in 1988. Since then, most of the states in India have NLUs. Currently there are 26 NLUs across the country out of which 1 is an off-centre campus of NLU Gandhinagar which is named as (GNLU SILVASSA Campus) .

Continuing legal educationContinuing legal education (CLE), also known as mandatory or minimum continuing legal education (MCLE) or, in some jurisdictions outside the United States, as continuing professional development, consists of professional education for attorneys that takes place after their initial admission to the bar. Within the United States, U.S. attorneys in many states and territories must complete certain required CLE in order to maintain their U.S. licenses to practice law.
Admission to the bar in the United StatesAdmission to the bar in the United States is the granting of permission by a particular court system to a lawyer to practice law in the jurisdiction. Each U.S. state and jurisdiction (e.g. territories under federal control) has its own court system and sets its own rules and standards for bar admission. In most cases, a person is admitted or called to the bar of the highest court in the jurisdiction and is thereby authorized to practice law in the jurisdiction.
