Tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina is a fast-growing sector making up an important part in the economy of the country. Beside a number of spots and attractions in Sarajevo and Mostar, as the country's principal tourist destinations, Bosnia and Herzegovina is regaining its reputation as an excellent ski destination with its Olympic mountain ski resorts such as Jahorina, Bjelašnica and Igman. The tourist business environment is constantly developing with an increasingly active tourism promotional system. In 2019, 1.990.451 tourists visited Bosnia and Herzegovina, an increase of 23,6% and had 4.100.401 overnight hotel stays, a 22.6% increase from the previous year. Also, 74.4% ( 1.48 million ) of the tourists came from foreign countries. Tourism is becoming a great contributor to the Bosnian economy. As a result, Bosnia-Herzegovina now has a wide tourist industry and a fast expanding service sector thanks to the strong annual growth in tourist arrivals. The country also benefits from being both a summer and winter destination with continuity in its tourism throughout the year. Being a predominantly mountainous country Bosnia-Herzegovina provides some of the best-value ski vacations in Europe. In March 2012, Sarajevo won travel blog Foxnomad's "Best City to Visit" competition, beating out more than one hundred cities around the entire world. More recently, the town of Visoko has experienced a staggering increase in tourist arrivals due to the alleged discovery of the Bosnian pyramids, attracting in excess of 10,000 tourists in the first weekend of June 2006. Međugorje has become one of the most popular pilgrimage sites for Catholics (and people of other faiths) in the world and has turned into Europe's third most important religious place, where each year more than 1 million people visit. It has been estimated that 30 million pilgrims have come to Međugorje since the reputed apparitions began in 1981. Neum on the adriatic coast has steep hills, sandy beaches, and several large tourist hotels.

Konjic (Bosnie-Herzégovine)

Konjic est une ville et une municipalité de Bosnie-Herzégovine située dans le canton d'Herzégovine-Neretva et dans la fédération de Bosnie-et-Herzégovine. Selon les premiers résultats du recensement bosnien de 2013, la ville intra muros compte habitants et la municipalité . Konjic est située au nord de l'Herzégovine, à environ de Sarajevo, dans une région montagneuse et densément couverte de forêts. La municipalité s'étend sur les deux rives de la Neretva et elle se trouve à la limite du canton de Sarajevo.

Herzégovine

LHerzégovine (en bosnien, croate, serbe latin : Hercegovina ; en serbe cyrillique : Херцеговина) est une région géographique historique des Alpes dinariques, correspondant à la partie méridionale de l'État actuel de Bosnie-Herzégovine. Son nom vient de l'allemand Herzog (« duc ») et signifie donc « duché », elle doit son nom au duc Stefan Vukčić Kosača (1435 à 1466). C'est au qu'il fut décidé d'associer le nom de l'Herzégovine à celui de Bosnie, auparavant seul utilisé pour désigner le pays entier.

Neretva

La Neretva (ou Narenta ; en croate Neretva, en bosnien et serbe Neretva/Неретва) est le principal fleuve d'Herzégovine et de Dalmatie et un des plus importants de Bosnie-Herzégovine. Les sources de la Neretva sont situées à d'altitude dans les Alpes dinariques près de Jabuka (Gacko) ( au sud de Sarajevo). Dans le haut de son cours, la Neretva est un des fleuves les plus froids du monde (avec une moyenne de pendant les mois d'été), d'eaux extrêmement propres et une flore et une faune endémiques particulièrement délicates.
