Das Exzellenznetzwerk STELLAR ist eine Forscher-Community im Bereich Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL). Das EU-Projekt hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt Wissenschaftler vieler verschiedener Disziplinen und Institutionen in Europa zusammenzubringen. Wie genau sieht die Vernetzung der Forscher dieser Community kurz nach der Gründung des EU-Projekts aus? Eine soziale Netzwerkanalyse (SNA) gibt unter anderem Aufschluss darüber, welche Akteure als einflussreich wahrgenommen werden und welche Institutionen die bevorzugten Kollaborationspartner sind. Julia Fink präsentiert in ihrem Buch weiterhin verschiedene Modelle und Phänomene, die im Zusammenhang mit der Analyse sozialer Netzwerke Anwendung finden.
