Résumé
The objective of 1998 World Conference on Timber Engineering (WCTE'98) was to present the latest advances in the research, design and construction of engineered timber structures. The conference served as an international forum for researchers, designers, academicians and manufacturers to exchange ideas and learn from each other. It also promoted better understanding of engineered wood construction through technological cooperation. Architecture, innovation techniques and environmental issues were the main focused interests.
