Measurements of B decays to two kaons

Résumé

We report measurements of B meson decays to two kaons using 253fb-1 of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB energy-asymmetric e+e- collider. We find evidence for signals in B+→K̄0K+ and B0→K0K̄0 with significances of 3.0σ and 3.5σ, respectively. (Charge-conjugate modes are included.) The corresponding branching fractions are measured to be B(B+→K̄0K+)=(1.0±0.4±0.1)×10-6 and B(B0→K0K̄0)=(0.8±0.3±0.1)×10-6. These decay modes are examples of hadronic b→d transitions. No signal is observed in the decay B0→K+K-, and we set an upper limit of 3.7×10-7 at 90% confidence level. © 2005 The American Physical Society.

Study of B meson decays to three-body charmless hadronic final states

We report results of a study of charmless B meson decays to three-body Kππ, KKπ and KKK final states. Measurements of branching fractions for B decays to K=+(0)π+π-, K +K+K-, K0K+K-, K+Ks 0Ks 0 and K s 0Ks 0Ks 0 final states are presented. The decays B0→K0K +K-, B+→K+Ks 0Ks 0 and B0→Ks 0Ks 0Ks 0 are observed for the first time. We also report evidence for B+→K +K-π+ decay. For the three-body final states K0K+π-, Ks 0K s 0π+, K+K+π - and K-π+π+, 90% confidence level upper limits are reported. Finally, we discuss the possibility of using the three-body B0→Ks 0K+K - decay for CP violation studies. The results are obtained with a 78 fb-1 data sample collected at the Y(4S) resonance by the Belle detector operating at the KEKB asymmetric energy e+e- collider. © 2004 The American Physical Society.

Measurements of charmless hadronic b→s penguin decays in the π+π-K+π- final state and first observation of B0→ρ0K+π-

We report measurements of charmless hadronic B0 decays into the π+π-K+π- final state. The analysis uses a sample of 657×106 BB̄ pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider at the resonance. The decay B0→ρ0K+π- is observed for the first time; the significance is 5.0σ and the corresponding partial branching fraction for MKπ(0.75,1.20)GeV/c2 is [2.8±0.5(stat) ±0.5(syst)]×10-6. We also obtain the first evidence for B0→f0(980)K+π- with 3.5σ significance and for B0→π+π- K0 with 4.5σ significance. For the two-body decays B0→ρ0K0 and B0→f0(980)K*0, the significances are 2.7σ and 2.5σ, respectively, and the upper limits on the branching fractions are 3.4×10-6 and 2.2×10-6 at 90% confidence level. © 2009 The American Physical Society.

Observation of B+ → ψ(3770)K+

The observation of the decay B+→ψ(3770)K+, where the ψ(3770) was constructed in the D0D̄0 and D+D- decay channels, was reported. The branching fraction for the decay was measured and a 90% confidence level upper limit was set for the decay. Data was collected at the Y(4S) resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. Candidate π0 mesons were identified as pairs of non-charged-track-associated electromagnetic calorimeter clusters.
