Radio spectrumThe radio spectrum is the part of the electromagnetic spectrum with frequencies from 3 Hz to 3,000 GHz (3 THz). Electromagnetic waves in this frequency range, called radio waves, are widely used in modern technology, particularly in telecommunication. To prevent interference between different users, the generation and transmission of radio waves is strictly regulated by national laws, coordinated by an international body, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Rayleigh fadingRayleigh fading is a statistical model for the effect of a propagation environment on a radio signal, such as that used by wireless devices. Rayleigh fading models assume that the magnitude of a signal that has passed through such a transmission medium (also called a communication channel) will vary randomly, or fade, according to a Rayleigh distribution — the radial component of the sum of two uncorrelated Gaussian random variables.
RollingRolling is a type of motion that combines rotation (commonly, of an axially symmetric object) and translation of that object with respect to a surface (either one or the other moves), such that, if ideal conditions exist, the two are in contact with each other without sliding. Rolling where there is no sliding is referred to as pure rolling.

TélémesureLa télémesure est une technique permettant d'obtenir à distance les valeurs de mesures effectuées dans des installations techniques. Par extension, une télémesure désigne l'une de ces mesures à distance. Il ne faut pas confondre télémesure (technique de mesure à distance) avec télémétrie (technique de mesure des distances). Les mesures effectuées dans une installation sont acheminées sur place à un appareil de transmission, généralement un (abrégé « RTU » de l'anglais Remote Terminal Unit) ou un automate programmable industriel (« API » ou « PLC », de l'anglais Programmable Logic Controller).
