Description

This lecture discusses the relation between generalized resistance and fluctuations of generalized forces in linear dissipative systems, extending the Nyquist relation. Applications include Brownian motion, electric field fluctuations, and pressure fluctuations. Quantum noise measurements in Josephson junctions are also covered.
