This lecture covers the impact of the ionosphere on GPS coordinates, sources of GPS errors, pseudo-distance measurement, GPS signal acquisition, and the process of GPS signal correlation. It also delves into GPS positioning, types of services, dissemination of corrections, precision analysis, and differential GPS. The importance of knowing the approximate position of the receiver, calculation of distances between receiver and satellite, and the use of cofactor matrix for relative positioning are discussed. The lecture also explores triple differences for cycle slip identification, post-processing techniques, and the dissemination of corrections in real-time. Various concepts related to DGPS systems, antenna positions, and the use of GNSS networks are also covered.
