Metabolism 1: General Overview

This lecture covers the introduction to carbohydrate, lipid, and protein metabolism, the concept of general energy balance, the homeostasis of blood glucose over time, the role of the pancreas in glucose homeostasis, the function of the pancreatic islets, the interaction between cellular receptors and insulin, and the storage and mobilization of fats influenced by insulin.
