The Journey of ReCIRCLE: From Beach Parties to Circular Economy

This lecture follows the inspiring journey of Jeannette Morath, the Founder and CEO of reCIRCLE, who started her career in the hotel industry and as a tour guide before realizing the environmental impact of single-use items. Motivated by the sight of polluted beaches and a tragic incident in India, Jeannette embarked on a mission to promote reusable solutions. Overcoming financial and technical barriers, she initiated a pilot project in Switzerland, which eventually led to the establishment of reCIRCLE. Through innovative business models and partnerships, reCIRCLE has grown to serve over 1,400 restaurants, reducing CO2 emissions and waste.
