Abstract
A photovoltaic cell (1) including a substrate (2) with a supporting surface (4) over which extends a first electrode (6), and a second electrode (10) isolated from the first electrode (6) by a plurality of layers (14, 16; 14, 24, 16), including at least one first layer (14) of a semiconductor material having an active junction (J) at one interface thereof. Said active junction (J) has developed area greater than its projected area.
