This lecture introduces the field of precision oncology, focusing on the opportunities and challenges in utilizing genomics, immunotherapies, and digital tools to enhance cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy. The presentation covers the principles of precision oncology, the transformation of personalized oncology through big data analysis, the applications of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) in personalized oncology, clonal heterogeneity, immune response mechanisms, and the personalization of immuno-oncology. It also discusses the challenges and opportunities in personalized oncology, the use of natural language processing (NLP) in oncology, and the development of explainable AI for digital pathology.
