This lecture covers the genetic and epigenetic changes in cancer, including mutations, DNA methylation, chromosomal changes, histone modifications, and non-coding RNA. It also discusses the effects of gene mutations, such as frame-shift mutations, hotspot mutations, and truncating mutations. The instructor presents mutation signatures in cancer, associated mutagens, and chromosomal rearrangements like deletions, amplifications, and translocations. High-throughput methods for measuring chromosomal changes, such as comparative genomic hybridization and hybridization arrays, are also explained.
