This lecture covers the factorisation in Principal Ideal Domains (PIDs), where every prime ideal is maximal. It explains the unique tuple of natural integers associated with each ideal, the decomposition of prime ideals, and the properties of prime elements. The lecture also discusses the divisibility of elements in PIDs and the common prime factors between them.
