This lecture discusses the implementation of a reusable tableware project at EPFL, inspired by the increasing waste generated by take-out sales on campus. Students can now use their own containers or a purple re-box with a 10 franc deposit, promoting a sustainable dining experience. The success of this initiative has led to its expansion in food trucks and restaurants, following positive feedback from the community. The lecture also highlights similar sustainable efforts worldwide, such as the launch of reusable bowls by Migros and the upcoming ban on disposable tableware in Vancouver and France.
