Comparing nuclear and whole cell transcriptomes

This lecture discusses the challenges of isolating intact whole cells from the adult human cerebral cortex, the differential expression between nuclear and whole cell transcriptomes, and the transcriptomic diversity in human cortical cell types. It also covers the relatively poor recovery of neurons from enzymatic dissociation, the nuclei isolation process from specific layers in the adult human cortex, and the identification of putative transcriptomic cell types.
