She is a director of research with the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CRNS) and has been affiliated with the Center for European sociologie and political science (CESSP) at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS) since 2012. Her work deals with processed of socialization and the production of habitus, especially as related to youth, the body and health. Since 2017, she has been the president of the French Sociological Association.

After qualifying as a doctor from the University of Buenos Aires, Nasio completed his residency as a psychiatrist at the hospital in Lanús. He emigrated to France in 1969, where he attended the classes of Jacques Lacan. In May 1979, he did a course about the theme "subject of the unconscious", in the seminar of Lacan.

Charles HarosCharles Haros was a geometer (mathematician) in the French Bureau du Cadastre at the end of the eighteenth century and the beginning of the nineteenth century. One of the primary tasks of the Bureau du Cadastre was the accurate mapping of France for the purpose of taxation but from time to time the bureau also provided computational services to other parts of the government.
