Georges PolitzerGeorges Politzer (pɔlidzɛʁ; 3 May 1903 - 23 May 1942) was a French philosopher and Marxist theoretician of Hungarian Jewish origin, affectionately referred to by some as the "red-headed philosopher" (philosophe roux). He was a native of Oradea, a city in present-day Romania (then Nagyvárad, Hungary). He was murdered in the Holocaust. Politzer had already been a militant by the time of his involvement in the Hungarian insurrection of 1919 when he was 17 during the Hungarian Soviet Republic, led by Béla Kun.
Force PubliqueThe Force Publique (fɔʁs pyblik, "Public Force"; Openbare Weermacht) was a gendarmerie and military force in what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo from 1885 (when the territory was known as the Congo Free State), through the period of Belgian colonial rule (Belgian Congo – 1908 to 1960). The FP was retitled as the Congolese National Army or ANC in July 1960 after independence. The Force Publique was initially conceived in 1885 when King Leopold II of the Belgians, who held the Congo Free State as his private property, ordered his Secretary of the Interior to create military and police forces for the State.

4th Foreign Regiment (France)The 4th Foreign Regiment (4e Régiment étranger, 4e RE) is a training regiment of the Foreign Legion in the French Army. Prior to assuming the main responsibility of training Legion recruits, it was an infantry unit which participated in campaigns in Morocco, Levant, French Indochina, and Algeria. Created in November 1920 in Marrakesh, Morocco, the 4th Foreign Regiment became the 4th Foreign Infantry Regiment in 1922. Following its formation, the regiment was engaged in campaigns in Morocco in the Rif War between 1920 and 1934.
