The Groupe Ingenierie des Structures (GIS) at EPFL is an experimental platform dedicated to testing structural materials using cutting-edge technology and machinery. With a team of engineers and technicians, GIS custom-designs tests to solve real-life structural problems, supporting researchers in understanding structural responses to extreme loadings. The platform also offers a unique environment for fundamental research and teaching on various materials and structures, involving Master students, PhD students, and post-doctoral researchers.
