Laboratory of Renewable Energy Science and Engineering

The Laboratory of Science and Engineering of Renewable Energy (LRESE) at EPFL focuses on the efficient and sustainable conversion of renewable energies into storable fuels and materials. Led by Prof. Sophia Haussener, the lab conducts in-depth numerical and experimental investigations on solar-driven energy conversion processes, reactor engineering, and transport phenomena in complex multi-phase media. LRESE also offers teaching opportunities for students, including Bachelor, Semester, and Master projects, as well as doctoral and postdoctoral positions.
