Their research aims to create inexpensive and scalable materials for applications such as solar energy conversion. LIMNO's projects involve engineering semiconductor band gaps, light absorption, charge transfer, and carrier transport to enhance device performance. They have made significant progress in areas like organic-inorganic semiconductors, photoelectrochemical CO2 reduction, and perovskite solar cells, with a particular emphasis on earth-abundant and environmentally friendly materials.
