Gene Expression Core Facility
PlatformThe Genius Expression Technology Platform (GECF) at EPFL offers a diverse set of tools for the functional and quantitative analysis of genomes and transcriptomes. They specialize in next-generation sequencing, microfluidics-based qPCR technologies, digital PCR, and spatial transcriptomics analyses. GECF provides access to various instruments such as Illumina sequencers, Oxford Nanopore MinION, 10X Genomics Chromium, and Fluidigm C1 for single-cell genomics and transcriptomics. They also manage collections of ORFs and offer services like nucleic acids QC profiling, ORF & cDNA collections, and quantitative PCR. The platform collaborates with the bioinformatics competence center of EPFL Unil and has a steering committee to review its activities and strategic plans.
