The Hummel Lab, led by Prof. Friedhelm Hummel, focuses on developing personalized neurotechnological interventions to enhance functional recovery in patients with neurological disorders like stroke and traumatic brain injury. Their research delves into neuroplasticity, motor skill acquisition, healthy aging, and functional reorganization after brain lesions. Using modern neuroimaging and brain stimulation techniques, the lab aims to understand the underlying mechanisms of recovery and translate this knowledge into clinical applications. Collaborating with experts worldwide, the lab's interdisciplinary team conducts clinical trials and assessments to advance the field of systems and translational neuroscience.
